We don’t just rescue the kittens. Our goal is to rescue and spay the momma cat, too! Because if an unaltered cat is left on the streets, she could have another 1-2 litters that same year.
However, it’s not always possible to find the momma and even if we do, she may not be healthy enough to care for her kittens. This is where fosters and neonatal kitten caregivers come in.
We try to place kittens in foster homes, but we don’t always have a foster available. Our Kitten Nursery has volunteers on duty 24/7 so these little babies will be well cared for until an experienced foster home can be arranged.
