a cat or dog?
You’ve come to
the right page.
If you’re looking to adopt a pet in Las Vegas, you’ll find the new love of your life at Hearts Alive Village. Remember, every dog or cat we adopt out is spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on their vaccines.
HAV Adoption Policy
To protect the animals and the family:
- You’ve got to be at least 18 years old to adopt an HAV pet.
- Cats and kittens need to be taken home in a secured pet carrier.
- Please, no declawing of kittens or cats.
- We do not adopt out dogs to be used as guard dogs or “yard” dogs.
- Other pets in the home must be spayed or neutered and up to date on veterinary care.
- A veterinarian reference and/or a home visit, may be required.
- If you are a renter, we’ll need approval from your landlord.

Now, if you’re serious about adopting an HAV pet,
you’ll be happy to know, so are we.
you’ll be happy to know, so are we.
Placing an animal in a loving home is our top priority. That’s why we take extra care to make sure it’s a good match. Most of our dogs are placed with a foster family prior to adoption, so you will be able to speak to their foster parents about behaviors, likes and dislikes, and any challenges.
If you’re looking for a dog, start here.
Since pups do better in a home environment, most of our adoptable dogs are relaxing in a foster home until we find their new family. That way, they get the love, training and socialization they need to be ready to join a new household. Please view our adoptable dogs and if there’s one you’d like to meet, fill out an application and we’ll get in touch with you. Or email info@heartsalivevillage.org for an appointment to visit the pups at our Village ReTreat.
Already have a pet? Let us do a “Meet and Greet”
If you are adopting a dog and already have one in the home, we are happy to do a Meet and Greet to properly introduce them and make sure they start off on the right paw.

If you’re a cat person, start here.
Kittens require a great deal more attention and care than adult cats. Because of this, our kittens are in foster homes until they can be vetted and adopted. When they become available, they will be listed on our Adoptable Cats page. If there’s a kitty you’re interested in, please fill out an application and the foster family will contact you.
What does it cost to adopt a pet?
Dogs (1 year and older) $105
Cats (1 year and older) $65
Kittens $100
Puppies $150
HAV Adoption Centers
